This privacy policy explains how Eurocore Ltd, trading as Made.In.Garforth (“we”, “us”), collects and uses your personal information when you visit madeingarforth.com, place an order, or contact us. We are the data controller for this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What information we collect

• Order details: your name, billing and delivery addresses, email address, phone number, the items you buy and any custom design or engraving details you send us.
• Payment information: card and account payments are handled by our payment providers (Revolut and PayPal). We never see or store your full card details.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, through our contact form or on social media, including photos or design files for custom work.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
• Website usage: information about how you use our site, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).

How we use your information and our lawful basis

• To take, make and deliver your order, including custom designs, and to contact you about it. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To keep financial and tax records as required by law. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
• To answer your questions and provide after-sales help such as fitting advice. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
• To prevent fraud and keep our website secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
• To ask you for a review after you buy from us. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time.
• To send you marketing emails, only if you have signed up or are an existing customer who has not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Lawful basis: consent or, for existing customers, legitimate interests (soft opt-in).
• To understand how our website is used and improve it. Lawful basis: consent, given through our cookie banner.

Who we share your information with

We only share what each service needs to do its job. These providers act on our behalf and must keep your information secure:

• Payment providers: Revolut and PayPal, to process your payment.
• Delivery companies: Royal Mail, FedEx, UPS and DHL, so they can deliver your order. We often book these through Parcel2Go, and sometimes buy postage labels through WooCommerce Shipping, so those services also receive your delivery details.
• Our website host: ScotServe Ltd, which stores our website and its data.
• Email marketing: Mailchimp, which holds our customer and order details so we can send marketing emails to people who have not opted out.
• Reviews: Trustpilot, which may email you an invitation to review your purchase. Our site also displays reviews left on eBay and Trustindex.
• Analytics and product listings: Google (Google Analytics, and Google Merchant Center via Google for WooCommerce), Automattic (Jetpack and WooCommerce analytics), and Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised visits (such as clicks and scrolling) so we can see where our site is confusing or hard to use. Clarity only runs if you accept analytics cookies.
• Security and spam protection: Automattic (Jetpack and Akismet).
• Professional advisers and authorities: such as our accountant, HMRC or the police, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the UK government’s adequacy decisions (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on standard contractual clauses to keep your information protected.

How long we keep your information

• Order and invoice records: 6 years from the end of the financial year, as required for tax purposes.
• Messages and custom design files: for as long as needed to complete your order and deal with any follow-up, then up to 2 years so we can help with repeat or replacement orders.
• Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
• Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Some are essential for the site and checkout to work, such as remembering what is in your basket. Others, such as analytics cookies, are only set if you agree through the cookie banner shown when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our site or through your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong
• ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
• ask for your information in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
